Taylor Wimpey new build is the perfect home for Warwick family needing more space
After outgrowing their first home, Scott and Katie knew it was time to find a larger, more family-friendly space.
With previous experience purchasing and living in a new build home, Scott and Katie were confident they wanted to do it again. With two small children in tow, it was also key for them to avoid any large scale refurbishments, as well as being able to move in and enjoy the property straight away as a family.
After beginning their search, they found Taylor Wimpey’s The Asps and liked its location. Scott said: “The development has great access links to the M40 as well as Leamington and Warwick. It is also on the outskirts of town, so it feels more peaceful and has less congestion than some other areas nearby. Once the development is complete, it will have some great community amenities alongside nice green spaces and parks so we know it’s going to be a fantastic place to live.”
When searching for their home on the development, the couple fell in love with the Trusdale Special, a spacious three-bedroom corner plot featuring a large rear garden, a garage, and three parking spaces. Katie said: “The layout was perfect for us. The kitchen/diner has beautiful views over the green space, and the front bedrooms overlook the fields beyond. The natural light throughout the home makes it feel so open and airy.”
Practical features also played a big role in their decision. Scott added: “With two little ones, the utility room has been a lifesaver and the overall size of the property has allowed us to thrive as a family of four.”
Now settled in, the family is enjoying everything their new home and development have to offer. “The estate is peaceful, and with spring approaching, we’re looking forward to lots of walks around the green spaces and watching the sunsets from the front of our home,” Katie said.
The couple was also impressed with the level of customer care they received. “Any minor snags have been dealt with immediately by the team, especially the sales team. We felt really supported throughout the entire journey. We’re so happy with our decision. The home, the development, and the customer service from Taylor Wimpey have all been excellent. We’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a quality new-build home.”

Meet the Neighbour Event at The Asps
In December, we were pleased to host a a ‘Meet the Neighbours’ event at The Asps, offering our residents the perfect opportunity to connect with their community over festive cheer. Residents enjoyed a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the chance to meet their neighbours with hot drinks and refreshments provided on the day.
The event brought together a mix of new and existing residents, and gave them the chance to win festively themed prizes on a tombola.
Matthew Kendall, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “It was wonderful to see so many people come together at this event. These gatherings are such a great way to build community bonds, and we’re pleased to have facilitated the chance for current and future residents to meet.”

We support Dogs Trust Kenilworth
Six members of our team spent the day at the rehoming centre on Honiley road, getting stuck in and helping out with a variety of tasks. We got a tour of the facility, walked some of the dogs and spoke to several staff members on the work they do to help the animals when they arrive at the centre.
The centre can house over 100 dogs, with staff dedicated to helping each one be rehabilitated and find a forever home.
We also donated £200 to support the centre in its ongoing work for the animals.
Matt Kendall, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “We had a fantastic day at the Kenilworth centre, not only getting to meet all the animals, but also seeing first hand how the brilliant team work tirelessly to support the dogs’ rehabilitation and road to a new home.”
We bring World Book Day magic to Warwick school
We helped bring World Book Day to life at Heathcote Primary School by arranging a special visit from local author Rosie Pickering. On 5th March, Rosie captivated Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 pupils with interactive readings from her popular picture book, The Jumblebees, and shared her passion for storytelling.
The pupils enjoyed an engaging assembly and creative activities that inspired their love of books.
Anna Cowcher, Assistant Headteacher at Heathcote Primary School, said: “We were thrilled to welcome Rosie to the school for World Book Day. The children were totally engaged with her stories and loved the chance to hear from a real author. Thank you to Taylor Wimpey Midlands for organising a wonderful activity for our pupils!”
