Overview
We have submitted a reserved matters planning application for Phase 2 of a new residential development of up to 250 homes in total (in phases 1 and 2) in Sellindge.
The site is to the south of the A20 Ashford Road, north of the M20 motorway and surrounds the existing Sellindge Village Hall and surgery site.
In 2016, Shepway District Council granted full planning permission for Phase 1 of the development, which comprises 50 new homes, a village green with play equipment, a community car park and two new road accesses from the A20. Construction work for Phase 1 has now started.
At the same time, the district council also granted us outline planning permission for Phase 2 of the development, which includes 200 new homes, a mixed-use centre including a parish office, commercial floorspace for a shop, restaurant or takeaway, and landscaping.
The location of our proposed development is shown on the plan to the right. The area with red lines shows phase 1 of the development which will comprise 50 homes. The remaining area within the red line plan shows Phase 2.
We held a public consultation on our proposals for Phase 2 at Sellindge Village Hall on Thursday 15th February 2018. The consultation boards that were displayed at our public exhibition can be downloaded here.
The consultation period closed on Monday 26th February 2018. The feedback we have received from local residents and stakeholders helped us to finalise the details of our proposals before we submitted a reserved matters application to Shepway District Council in March 2018. Our planning application can be viewed by visiting Shepway District Council's planning pages and searching reference number Y18/0402/SH.
