The Kilns @ Wootton Park

The Kilns @ Wootton Park offers a wonderful combination of rural living within easy reach of a wealth of amenities, close to the heart of Wootton village and just five miles from the centre of Bedford.

The development enjoys a countryside edge-of-village setting, and the site’s mature trees and hedgerows will be complemented by new planting and landscaping to provide green open space for residents to enjoy.

Wootton is a large, thriving village offering a host of facilities for day-to-day living, with local shops including a convenience store, a health centre and a pharmacy, a library and a choice of pubs and places to eat.

The village has a busy calendar of community events and activities with plenty of societies and sports clubs for people of all ages, while families will appreciate that there are also schools for children of all ages just a short distance away.

Marston Vale Millennium Country Park, with its wetlands nature reserve and treetop walkway, is on the doorstep and is a great place for peaceful walks, cycle rides, picnics and wildlife spotting. Wootton is perfectly positioned in the peaceful Bedfordshire countryside between Bedford and Milton Keynes.

Taylor Wimpey helps young couple move into first home with Help to Buy scheme

DBI_7373

When young couple Carly Ephgrave and Reece Welsh were looking to step onto the property ladder earlier this year, Taylor Wimpey’s Help to Buy scheme seemed like the perfect option.

The couple were looking to move out of their rental property in Milton Keynes and buy somewhere with more space. 25 year old Carly works as a senior collections advisor in the car finance industry, and commented: “Previously, we were renting a two bedroom property and really needed the extra space. The Ash has three spacious rooms and the master suite on the top floor also comes with an en suite shower room and dressing area which is great. The area initially appealed to us as the village is lovely and peaceful, and it would also be a great area to bring children up in the future as there are some fantastic local schools.”

Carly was impressed with the sales process with Taylor Wimpey and would recommend the Help to Buy scheme to others, as she confirms: “With Help to Buy, you can purchase a new home with a deposit as little as 5%. It’s great for young first time buyers and the whole process was simple, straightforward and fast paced. The sales executives helped to explain everything clearly and were all really helpful with any questions we had.”

Reece Welsh, also 25, works as a scaffolder. He commented: “We’ve been in our new home for three months now and we’re really enjoying having our own space. We loved the look of the new build houses at The Kilns and would definitely recommend The Ash house type.  In terms of location, you get the best of both worlds. Not only are you in a peaceful, village setting, but close to Bedford town centre and Milton Keynes too, where there is plenty to see and do. We both currently drive to work, but the train station is only a short drive away, where there are direct services to London.”
