Whiteley is located between Portsmouth and Southampton, off Junction 9 on the M27 and is close to the market town of Fareham, while rail services are provided nearby at Swanwick railway station.

The Whiteley Shopping Centre is a 320,000 sq ft retail scheme with over 50 shops, restaurants and cafes and offers a relaxed out of town shopping experience due to the huge selection of high street brands and top restaurants. Whiteley Shopping Centre is also home to Rock Up an indoor climbing attraction and Cineworld Cinema.

Whiteley also contains the sizeable Solent Business Park which consists of a number or large companies, plus relaxation is taken care of at The Solent Hotel and Spa.

Education

Whiteley Meadows will have its own nursery, primary and senior schools and there are also primary schools at Curdridge, Whiteley and Botley, catering for 5 to 10-year-olds. Other senior schools in the area include Brookfield Community School and The Henry Cort Community College at Fareham and Fareham Academy, all catering for 11 to 16-year-olds. At Fareham College you can study A levels, apprenticeships and higher education.
