Family upgrades to dream home at Greendale Park
Julie Middlemiss and her partner Alan and daughter, previously lived close by to the Bedlington-based development. They adored the peaceful and semi-rural location but were eager for an upgrade.
Julie explained, "We previously lived close by to Greendale Park but we were itching for something new! We didn't want to move too far as we love the rural-feel the area holds and we still wanted to be within walking distance to the town's amenities, so we chose the development for the best of both worlds. Our home is surrounded by beautiful scenery and is within walking distance to the local shops and schools which is perfect for us."
"We chose a new build as we were ready for an upgrade and were keen to have a home with energy efficient features like solar panels; these have already reduced our energy outgoings."
“We had our hearts set on this home so we didn’t want to waste any time. We decided to go down the part exchange route as this suited our needs at the time - it made the process quicker and removed the stress of the selling process so we could concentrate on the buying side of things,” said Julie.
Julie and Alan qualified for the scheme and were able to trade in their old property for something new. This eliminated the usual stress of negotiating prices as well as reducing estate agent fees and any delays. Julie highly recommends the scheme for a number of reasons, "There were no estate agents selling fees involved, no pressure to quickly sell our previous home and no worries about a potential sale falling through and jeopardising our purchase. Sharon, the Part Exchange Manager, helped us throughout our home-buying journey and she was great! She was approachable, efficient and always on hand to answer any of our questions."
Reflecting on their experience, "We absolutely love our new home and have settled in here so well. We absolutely recommend buying from Taylor Wimpey, everything has been so smooth and seamless, from the buying process to the aftercare, and we can't thank the team enough!"

Supporting the local community
£1,000 donation to Blyth Man Shed
Our North East team is proud to announce its generous £1,000 donation to the Blyth Man Shed, a community organisation located in Northumberland. The contribution is part of our ongoing commitment to engaging with the local community. Blyth Man Shed is a vital community hub that provides a welcoming and inclusive space for men and women of all ages to come together, socialise, and work on various DIY projects. Their aim is to provide a space which gives individuals sanctuary and escape from the isolation & loneliness which can lead to poor mental health & wellbeing.
Improving road safety for pupils in Bedlington
We donated a bundle of road safety equipment to Stead Lane Primary School in Bedlington to help keep pupils safe this winter. We donated high-vis vests as well as versatile clip-on lights suitable for bikes, scooters, or backpacks, allowing students to shine bright so they can be seen during their journey to and from school.
Our Biodiversity Net Gain commitments
We believe in creating places where both people and nature can thrive. Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) is a vital part of this and we're committed to leaving nature better off than before we began building.
