We donated vital equipment to the Wrexham Miners Project
People using the Wrexham Miners Project, along with those nearby, now have access to a public access defibrillator following its installation at the site. The equipment has been placed at the training centre to ensure it is easy to access in an emergency, where every minute can make a difference.
The centre is a well used community facility, bringing people together through activities, workshops and events while helping preserve an important part of Wrexham’s heritage.
The installation supports wider work with the British Heart Foundation (BHF), helping to increase the availability of defibrillators in local communities.
Wrexham Miners Project, said: “A massive thanks to Taylor Wimpey for donating this defibrillator. This valuable addition will mean so much to us, and will benefit both those who use the centre and the wider community”

Nine Taylor Wimpey North West employees took part in a Magic Breakfast ‘Aspiration Day’ at St Ann’s Primary School in Warrington.Year 6 pupils took part in a ‘speed networking’ session, asking questions about job roles, career journeys and day-to-day working life.
The format gave pupils the chance to hear directly from professionals across a range of roles, helping to bring different career paths to life in an engaging way.
The session helped pupils build confidence, broaden their understanding of the workplace, particularly opportunities within the construction sector.
Adam Layhe, Managing Director at Taylor Wimpey North West, said: "It was great to speak with such engaged pupils, it’s a great initiative to help young people start thinking about their futures and explore the different opportunities available to them.”
Liz Grumbley at St Ann’s Primary School, said: “It was fantastic to welcome the Taylor Wimpey team into the school for this year’s Aspiration Day. Opportunities like this give children valuable insight into a wide range of careers they may not have previously considered.”
Kings Moat Community Fete brings residents together this summer
Families, friends, and neighbours came together last weekend for the Kings Moat Mega Fête, a fun-filled community celebration organised by the Kings Moat Residents’ Association (KMRA).
The much-anticipated annual event was the highlight of the summer for Kings Moat Garden Village, featuring live entertainment, children’s activities, food stalls, games, competitions, and local business showcases. The Mayor of Chester, Cllr Sherin Akhtar, was in attendance at the event which was designed to bring the locals together. The fête reflected the strong sense of community that continues to grow at the development.
This year’s event was supported by a £500 donation from us, which helped cover the cost of family-friendly attractions and entertainment, ensuring the day was inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
Jennifer Burns, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey North West, added: “We were proud to support the Kings Moat Mega Fête and the fantastic work of the residents’ association. Community spirit is what makes Kings Moat such a special place to live, and we were delighted to play a part in helping this much-loved event go ahead.”
The Kings Moat Residents’ Association, led by a group of volunteers, plays an important role in building community spirit. In addition to organising social events, the group works closely with developers and managing agents to represent residents’ interests, improve estate standards, and advocate for enhancements such as road safety measures and public amenities.
As Kings Moat Garden Village continues to grow, the Community Fête marks another milestone in the development’s journey from a new housing site to a flourishing community.

On World Bee Day our North West team marks three years since bees moved in
This World Bee Day our North West team looked back on three years of housing bees on our developments.
In 2021 we worked with Crewe-based Buckleys Bees to install a bee hotel at our Aldon Wood development in Warrington, and two hives at Kings Moat Garden Village in Chester. The bees have been happily living amongst residents ever since, and the weekly beekeeper visits quickly became a highlight for many who live at both developments.
The United Nations has designated 20th May as World Bee Day, and Taylor Wimpey is committed to including pollinator-friendly habitats in all of its developments.

A warm treat for residents at Kings Moat Garden Village
As part of our World Kindness Day activity, we invited a local coffee van to serve complimentary hot drinks at our Kings Moat Garden Village development. Residents and a few four-legged friends stopped by throughout the morning for a warm drink and a quick chat. This small act brightened up a chilly autumn morning at Kings Moat Garden Village and brought neighbours together from across the community.Book an appointment
