We’ve shown our continued support for Eastbourne and District Veterans CIC (EADVCIC) by sponsoring their Armed Forces Day celebrations for the third year running.
With over 5,000 veterans living in Eastbourne, the annual event held in June each year is dedicated to honouring local veterans, sharing lived experiences and bringing people closer together.
The 2026 event was filled with live entertainment, music, food stalls, military vehicles and a range of activities for families, allowing for the local community to come together to enjoy a memorable day.
Allan Leith, Chairman of EADVCIC, said: “ On behalf of the Eastbourne and District Veterans CIC, thank you to Taylor Wimpey for supporting our Armed Forces Day for the third year in a row. It is so important to pay tribute and show respect to the Armed Forces community, ensuring veterans are remembered, honoured and stay connected.”

Taylor Wimpey gifts donation to Hailsham Community Shed
The donation to Hailsham Community Shed has been dedicated to the charity's running costs and providing its beneficiaries with new equipment and tools that can be used during collaborative group activities.Having opened its doors in 2023, Hailsham Community Shed is run in store by Furniture Now! The Sussex based charity is dedicated to reducing furniture poverty and supporting the circular economy by encouraging people to reduce, reuse and recycle; while reducing loneliness and social isolation through volunteering and Community Shed initiatives.
Supporting Hellingly's Activity Day
We helped the annual Hellingly’s Family Fun Day return this summer with more free activities, entertainment and opportunities for the community to come together and enjoy.
The event included activities such as bungee trampoline, inflatables, face painting and more, providing a fun day out for people of all ages to enjoy at no cost.
The annual event was a huge success, with a fantastic turnout from local families and the wider community. Organised by the Hellingly Parish council, the day allowed members within the community to enjoy a fun-packed day out this summer.
Natalie Rhodes, Assistant Clerk and Clubs and Activity Day Coordinator at Hellingly Parish Council, recently visited our community to meet the team and thank them for their support.
Natalie said: “We rely on the generosity of our sponsors to help make this fantastic community event happen each year, so it’s been lovely to visit Swingate Park and chat to the Taylor Wimpey team.
“The day is not just for children. It’s a real family-friendly atmosphere with lots for people of all ages to do.”

We sponsor under-14s team at Link FC Football Club
Link FC players are sporting a new look following our £400 donation towards the under-14s’ new team kit.The club provides weekly training sessions on the grounds of Hellingly Rugby Club for its teams at under-7, under-9, under-10, under-14, under-15 age levels and an open session for ages three to 15.
The club also welcomes players from other local grassroots clubs including, Hailsham United, Hailsham Town, Eastbourne United.

After two decades living in Malta, Roy Murell wanted to retire and move closer to his family in the UK. Originally from Hailsham, Roy wanted a new build home in his local area, and found Swingate Park online.
