A home is more than just a house, it’s also about the community that surrounds it. And that’s why we invest in building communities that support local businesses, improve facilities in the area and help bring people together.

Couple fell in love with their new build home are already planning their next move on the same development.
An engaged Hellingly couple who fell in love with their new build home are already planning their next move on the same development.
First time buyers Talula Welch and Jamie Grant took their first steps onto the property ladder together by moving out of their parents’ homes ahead of their wedding next year. They chose a two-bedroom property at Taylor Wimpey’s Swingate Park, and are already so fond of the development that they are planning to buy there again in the future.
Talula, 26, a primary school teacher, said: “We moved from just a 10-minute drive away. The location is so close to my parents and the homes at Swingate Park were available at the perfect time. With our wedding next year, it was ideal for us.
“We chose the two-bedroom Mapleford housetype because it was the ideal home for our budget. The solar panels and car chargers were also a plus for us, and the ‘lootility’ is an added bonus and an amazing feature too.
“We would have gone for a three or four-bed otherwise, but we already knew we’d want to buy again on this development in the future to start a family in the next few years.”
With lots of wedding planning to think about and Ottilie the dog to consider too, the couple were keen for their move to be as easy as possible.
Jamie, 29, a warehouse operative, said: “We were keen on a new build as we liked the idea of choosing our options and we are not DIY people so we wanted something that was already perfect when we moved in.”
The couple were the first to reserve at Swingate Park but could already see the potential of the new community. The development is right beside Hellingly Country Park with several new and upcoming pathways linking residents to the scenic green space. A range of local amenities are close by, including Hailsham Leisure Centre, The Cuckoo Trail and Hailsham Theatre and Cinema.
Talula said: “We love it here. We were first to reserve and I see us buying again in future for a bigger property. We’re looking forward to the future connection to Hellingly Country Park and taking Ottilie there for the first time.
“It has been lovely here at Swingate Park. We enjoy being comfortable and feeling calm in our new home and I can only describe it as perfect for Jamie and I.”

We made a £500 Donation to help Eastbourne celebrate Armed Forces Day
For the second consecutive year, we joined local businesses as a sponsor of the event by donating £500 towards the running costs of the town’s celebration of the armed forces community.
The event, organised by Eastbourne and District Veterans CIC, took place on Saturday 28th June 2025 and offered the wider Eastbourne community a chance to recognise its residents serving, or who have served, in a branch of the armed forces, and to thank them for their service.
This year, the family event featured a Chinook Flypast, a performance from the Imps Motorcycle Display Team, a falconry display, live entertainment, and refreshments.
