A family of four has found their dream home at our The Quarters development. After moving to the UK from Bulgaria and renting for two years, Dr Rosen Smukov, 37 and his wife Dr Damyana Ivanova, 38, along with their daughters Gabriela and Karolina, 12 and 6, moved into their four bedroom Manford home.
Having lived just half a mile from their new residence, the Smukovs were eager to find a space they could call their own. Rosen shared: "We’ve never lived in a new house before; all our previous homes were filled with history and old memories. We wanted a bright, open space where we could establish a home that feels entirely ours.”
Rosen continued: “What sealed the deal for us was the south-west facing garden which we thought would be perfect for enjoying the afternoon sun year-round, and the brilliant layout of the house. We loved the open-plan feel between the living room and kitchen/dining area and with the double French doors, it feels like a wonderfully connected space.
The second floor, featuring three double bedrooms and one single, is exactly what our family needs. We also fell in love with the exterior - red brick with a beautiful mint-green front door. It just clicked with us.”
The family reserved their home in April 2023 and moved in at the beginning of July that year. Rosen praised the customer service provided by Taylor Wimpey, saying: "We had high expectations based on the glowing reviews we heard about Taylor Wimpey and their customer service. We want to give special thanks to Cameron. As first-time buyers, we had no idea what to expect, but he was incredibly helpful and patient throughout the process. His warmth and positivity really stood out, and to us, he is the face of Taylor Wimpey, making the whole experience that much better. Additionally, the few snagging issues we encountered were resolved the very next day, which was truly impressive.”
“Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our new home and the outstanding service we received.”

Local investment
A home is more than just a house, it's also about the community that surrounds it. And that's why we invest in building communities that support local businesses, improve facilities in the area and help bring people together.
Our contributions to the community
Across the Bristol region, we have supported numerous organisations and charities throughout 2024 to make a difference within the community.Among the causes we supported last year was our Charity of the Year for 2024, Caring in Bristol. Back in December, we donated £2,000 as well as clothing to Caring in Bristol, a charity that supports homeless and vulnerable people across the region.
Over the course of last year, we donated approximately £20,000 to community groups, causes and schools including Quedegley Community Pantry, Children’s Hospice South West, Avon & Somerset Search and Rescue and Nailsea in Bloom among others.

Take a look inside our brand-new show home
We have partnered with Claude Hooper interior designers to bring the Marford home to life at The Quarters. The four bedroom home showcases how the best family living solutions can be balanced with stylish and contemporary design.
When it came to the colour palette for the Marford, Senior Designer Claire wanted to ensure that there was a rich and sophisticated feel to the home, with added extra pops of colour to add a layer of eye-catching fun to each room.
With three large double bedrooms and a separate study room, in addition to a spacious living and kitchen area, the Marford has plenty of room for a growing family. However it was important to Claire to make the home feel inviting and cosy: “I wanted to make sure that the use of feature colours and paints as well as wallpapers work to create a cosy atmosphere in the bigger rooms, as well as giving each room its own personality.”
Claire added: “I’m really pleased with the design of the show home at The Quarters. Myself and the whole team worked really hard to make sure the home reflected the latest design trends, as well as being a space the Taylor Wimpey customers could envisage themselves living in.”
