School pupils design flag for Bryanston Holt
We challenged pupils at Milldown CE Academy in Blandford Forum to design a vibrant and imaginative flag that would welcome visitors and residents to Bryanston Holt. The pupils created a range of colourful entries, giving our team a tough decision to make. In the end, it was a joint effort between Verity and Seren (Year 3) that took top prize. The two winning pupils received a £50 Amazon voucher and the school also received a £250 donation as a thank you for taking part. Verity and Seren’s design is now proudly flying high at Bryanston Holt.
Laura King, Deputy Head at Milldown CE Academy, said: “The flag design competition brought together students from across the school for an afternoon of collaboration and creativity. The talented designers of the winning flag chose to use their prize money to purchase new toys for all children to enjoy during break times - an incredibly thoughtful gesture that reflects the caring and community-minded ethos we strive to nurture. In addition, the donation from Taylor Wimpey to the school will go towards work we are doing to enhance our outside learning environment.”
Roz Wells, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “We were thrilled to invite pupils at Milldown CE Academy to take part in our flag design competition. We’re always seeking ways to get young people involved in the work we do and the competition shows just how talented the pupils are. Verity and Seren’s colourful flag looks fabulous at Bryanston Holt, and makes for an eye-catching welcome for people visiting our development.”
We sponsor Bryanston Christmas Fair
We supported Bryanston Christmas Fair with a £500 donation. The popular community event, now in its second year, took place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November 2025 at Bryanston School. The fair featured over 90 stalls from local businesses. Attendees could browse the locally crafted Christmas gifts and decorations, enjoy street food and take part in children’s activities.
Our stall added to the fun with a ‘guess the weight of the sweet jar’ competition, with the winners, Rob and Mila, taking home a giant Pick ‘n’ Mix jar.
Our sponsorship is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community surrounding Bryanston Holt, by supporting community events that provide locals with a fun family day out.
Lindsey Howell, Fairs Co-organiser at Wessex Events, said: “Our Christmas Fair at Bryanston School was a huge success, with over 4,000 visitors attending throughout the weekend. We would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their continued sponsorship of our events.
“The Taylor Wimpey stand was very popular, not only for raising their profile but also for giving adults and children the chance to win at their guessing game. I hope the people manning the stand enjoyed the fair as much as the visitors. A massive thank you for their involvement.”
Roz Wells, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “Our presence at Bryanston Christmas Fair is just one part of our wider commitment to the region. We support Nourish foodbank
We donated over £1,500 worth of food to foodbanks across the region just in time for Christmas.
£200 worth of food was donated to Nourish Community Larder and Foodbank in Blandford, which was ordered based on the items most needed by the foodbank.
The foodbank supports those living in Blandford by not only donating food to those in need, but also providing services for advice and a cafe space for meeting new people and chatting with agencies for support.
Sophie Burditt, Manager at Nourish, said: “Thank you so much to Taylor Wimpey for the generous donation of food delivered to Nourish.
“This kindness brings joy, comfort, and hope to families and individuals in our community. Being thought of during such a busy time of year truly means so much to us, and this support makes a meaningful difference for those we serve. We are deeply grateful for Taylor Wimpey’s generosity and compassion.”
Roz Wells, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “We are proud to have supported all of these foodbanks with our donations. With Christmas being a particularly difficult time for those facing financial hardship during the cost of living crisis, it’s important that people can still join in on the festivities without having to worry about food poverty, which these foodbanks are determined to support.”
Sophie Burditt, Nourish Manager, said: “Thank you to Taylor Wimpey for the Easter Eggs, we've already been able to support 38 families with extra food over the holidays - treating them with Easter eggs for each child in their family. They have been overjoyed to receive such a generous gift. We really appreciate Taylor Wimpey’s kindness in thinking of our families in need.”
Roz Wells, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “We are delighted to treat local families using Nourish’s services this Easter and we hope the children enjoyed their Easter eggs. It’s always a pleasure to support those in need so that they don’t miss out, whatever their circumstances.”
