We donate helicopter ride vouchers to hospital fundraiser raffle
We donated two vouchers for the Goodwood Gallop Helicopter Flight for The Bognor Regis Friends of the Hospitals Summer Fete raffle. The summer fete was held by The Bognor Regis Friends of the Hospitals on 26th July to raise money for the Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital, which is nearby to Regis Park. In total, over £8,484.69 was raised by the event, which will go towards equipment and services for the hospital’s staff and patients.
Held on the hospital grounds, the event gave 1,500 visitors the chance to explore a variety of stalls run by the charity as well as the hospital departments, enjoy ice cream and other foods, including cream teas from the Friends Tea Bar, and watch live entertainment by a local choir, the Suzanne Hill Dancers, and a RAFA Skittle Band.
The raffle itself raised £1,940.80 towards the total funds. Mr John Avery was the lucky winner of our vouchers and will be able to experience a helicopter aerial tour of the Goodwood Estate which includes the Goodwood House, the racecourse, kennels, golf courses, the motor circuit, the Rolls-Royce factory, and the Tangmere Airfield.
Brian Knight MBE, Chairman of The Bognor Regis Friends of the Hospitals, said: “Our thanks to Taylor Wimpey for its raffle prize donation. We were absolutely delighted with the raffle prize of the helicopter ride and it was highly spoken about amongst the staff and patrons at the fete. Without the support from businesses, traders and the public, we could not do what we do.”
Roz Wells, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “We are proud to have supported The Bognor Regis Friends of the Hospitals’ Summer Fete this year with a donation of a raffle prize. We hope the lucky winner of our vouchers has a fantastic experience flying over the Goodwood Estate.”

We inspire creativity with flag design competition
We collaborated with Rose Green Junior School with an exciting welcome flag competition. The initiative challenged the children at the school to get creative and design a flag welcoming visitors to Regis Park. The winning design was Year 6 pupil Lily Balabka, aged 10. The colourful design with the words ‘Welcome to Regis Park’ was chosen by our team and Lily received a £50 gift voucher for their outstanding entry.
As a thank you for taking part in the competition we also made a £250 donation to the school which will go towards enhancing the schools library, enabling the purchase of new books.
