Berrymead Gardens will comprise of 123 homes, ranging from 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes in the North of Darlington.
Our development at Berrymead Gardens will form part of a larger site, which when complete will have 370 homes in total. We have submitted an application to build 124 of these homes. We will be offering a range of 2, 3 and 4 bed terraced, semi-detached and detached properties and 20% of these will be affordable housing. We have looked carefully at the layout to ensure existing trees and countryside have been retained where possible. On this development there will be large areas of Public Open Space and the site also includes land which is allocated for a proposed primary school.
Taylor Wimpey will ensure we retain as much of the existing trees and countryside as possible in order to reduce the impact on existing habitats. We will be planting new areas of wildflower grassland, wet grassland, trees and shrubs to create new existing habitats for the wildlife. The development will include a number of bat and bird boxes to encourage roosting and nesting opportunities. Hedgehog highways will be included within rear garden fencings to allow for easy movement across the site.Connectivity Connectivity The development will offers great pedestrian, cycle and vehicle connectivity and beyond. There are multiple links to existing footpaths creating a strong connection to the surrounding amenities, neighbourhoods, and the local town of Newton Aycliffe, Harrowgate and Darlington. The proposed development links into the existing highway which gives great access from the A167 Beaumont Hill and Burtree Lane
