The Garrton Plot 152 Energy Solutions

In this Garrton we are showcasing the following new technologies:

Find out more

Waste Water Heat Recovery

This property is fitted with a Waste Water Heat Recovery System supplied by Recoup. This system transfers heat energy from your shower water by using it to preheat mains cold water and reduces the energy required to heat the shower resulting in lower CO2 emissions and a decrease in energy bills. There is no planned maintenance for the system as in normal circumstances the flow rate from the shower should prevent the build up of residue. However in the unlikely event of build up, it us recommended to use regular cleaning products or chemical de-clogging agents. The system comes with a 10 year manufacturers warranty.

Air Source Heat Pump

Your home is fitted with an air-to-water air source heat pump, this simply means the heat pump will use the heat energy in the outside air and convert it into usable heat for your home - heating your radiators and keeping your home warm. Your heat pump is designed to work in heating with a low to medium flow temperature. The temperature of the water flowing through your heating system will be between 35-55°C, rather than 60-70°C, which would be the case for a traditional fossil fuelled boiler system. Your radiators will feel cooler to touch compared to a traditional system, but they will be sized to ensure each room stays warm and comfortable, even on the coldest days.

In the first 12 months from installation, the guarantee covers your heat pump against manufacturing defects for both parts and labour.

Additional Items to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability

  • Triple glazed windows
  • Insulated A rated front door
  • Thermal Lintels
  • Layers of loft insulation
  • EV charging points
  • Fully insulated brick and block cavity walls

  • Block build with enhanced walls
