Taylor Wimpey celebrates World Book Day with Holystone Primary School

The children at Holystone Primary school enjoyed a special reading of our very own children's book 'How we build your home' with 'Milly Mortar & Handy Andy' from our Sales Executive and received a £200 donation to purchase new books to encourage the children to develop their reading skills.
Now in its 23rd year, World Book Day aims to encourage children of all ages to enjoy and appreciate the pleasures of reading.
Stephen Baines headteacher at Holystone Primary School said: “World Book Day is a fantastic initiative which really encourages children to develop their reading. “Thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s donation, we’ll be able to add some new books to our library and we can’t wait for our pupils to get stuck into some new stories and take part in lots of fun activities around the new books.”
Sarah Northcott, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North East said: “We were delighted to support Holystone Primary School with a donation to mark World Book Day. “We hope the pupils had a brilliant day celebrating their favourite characters and that they enjoy reading their new books together.”
