We snap to it - with support for campaign to get kids walking

We’re encouraging families in Winchburgh to pull on their walking shoes and leave the car at home for the journey to school this autumn.

We’re supporting Walk to School Month, which takes place every October and asks parents to walk their children to school – with the aim of promoting healthier lifestyles and reducing the number of cars on the road. To help keep youngsters safe on the way, especially in the darker autumn and winter months, we have supplied over 200 high-visibility snap bands to Winchburgh Primary School for its pupils to wear. The donation is part of a campaign that will see more than 13,000 snap bands provided to children across the country.

Taylor Wimpey Bowls triples winners announced in Winchburgh

Seton Park - bowls winner - Sept 2016

The inaugural Taylor Wimpey Triples Tournament held at Winchburgh Bowling Club earlier this month was blessed with great weather and support from the local community, and Taylor Wimpey East Scotland is delighted to confirm the trophy will be staying local as the winners are Gary Bertram, Davy Gemmell Jnr and Stevie Irvine from Winchburgh.

Taylor Wimpey announced its support for the new local invitational bowls competition earlier this year and it attracted 24 teams of three players from across the local area competing to be Winchburgh Bowling Club’s ‘Taylor Wimpey Triples’ champions. Sponsoring Winchburgh Bowling Club is a great chance to be involved in the local community as Karen Armstrong, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland comments: “We’re delighted to hear the Taylor Wimpey Triples Tournament was such a great community event with so many old and new members taking the opportunity to get involved, and we’d like to extend our congratulations to the winners.”
