Ockley Park is a new community with a range of brand-new homes in the charming area of Hassocks.Celebrating our award winning site manager
Luke Williams, site manager at Ockley Park has been honoured with a prestigious Pride in the Job Award by the National House Building Council (NHBC). This award recognises outstanding site managers across the UK and serves as a benchmark for excellence in construction quality.
Luke Williams, Site Manager at Taylor Wimpey’s Ockley Park development, said: “I’m delighted to have been recognised as one of the UK’s top site managers. I’m surrounded by a fantastic team and we’re all dedicated to building homes of the highest quality for our customers. This award is testament to our hard work and I’m delighted our commitment has been recognised.”
We donated a defibrillator cabinet to Hassocks Infant School
We donated an external defibrillator cabinet to Hassocks Infant School to ensure safe, easy and 24-hours access to the school's external defibrillator. As part of a joint initiative with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and as part of our commitment to leaving a lasting legacy in the areas we build, we regularly donate defibrillators to local communities around the UK to help people who suffer from an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
Following the advice of Hassocks Community Organisation, we approached Hassocks Infant School. Whilst the school already had a defibrillator, they needed a special cabinet to house the equipment, and we were happy to provide the funds for a special cabinet.
Adrian Bates-Holland, Headteacher at Hassocks Infant School, said: “We are delighted that our defibrillator is now accessible to the community. We are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for providing the funding for the cabinet.”
Hassocks currently has an impressive 16 defibrillator machines on record. Six of these provide 24-hour public access, with the latest installation now at Adastra Hall.
Leon McGinty, Acting Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said: “It’s so important to us that we give something back to the communities in which we’re building. We are always keen to provide support, and anything to support health and safety is always a top priority.
“Our partnership with the BHF is vitally important in helping to ensure that more defibrillators are available and accessible for people who might need them. We’re pleased to hear the cabinet has made such a difference to Hassocks Infant School and we hope it continues to provide essential support for the local community.”

Ellanie, 32, an Operations Manager, and Adam Fulbrook 36, were on the lookout for a home that comfortably accommodate their needs as a growing family. The couple were after both spacious and convenient living spaces, offering plenty of space for their son Ethan to grow.
The young family has made the move from Hurstpierpoint, just a short drive away from Ockley Park, and have upgraded from a two bedroom bungalow to Taylor Wimpey’s four bedroom detached Rightford home.
When asked why they chose Ockley Park, the couple replied: “Initially we wanted to explore other options, but with Ockley Park offering great value for money the decision was easy. We loved the layout and the flow of the house and with a study downstairs, we’ve been able to use one of the bedrooms as a playroom for Ethan.”
The Rightford house type boasts an open plan kitchen diner with French doors leading to the rear garden. Ellanie and Adam are also enjoying the benefits of a downstairs utility room and study. With four double bedrooms, the entire family can benefit from the space while using the third and fourth bedrooms as spare rooms.
Ellanie continued: "Initially we were looking to take on another renovation but with Ethan we knew our priority was looking for an easy move. During the sales process we were lucky enough to choose where on the development we wanted to live, and one of our favourite things about our new home is the natural light that we get, it’s a lovely airy feeling and perfectly compliments the design of the house.”
Thanks to the experienced sales team at Ockley Park, the sales process was smooth and hassle-free for the Fulbrook family.
When asked to describe their buying journey, Ellanie replied: “The whole team were fantastic. From start to finish they’ve been so accommodating and we’ve built such a great relationship with Holly. As a whole, the team were extremely proactive during the sales process and our needs were met every step of the way.”
