    “We looked at a few two-bedroom properties but when we saw the three-bedroom ‘Garsdale’ we knew that was the house for us.

    “We really love the unusual shape of the property as it sits on a corner – it’s quirky and different and we don’t know anyone else with a house like it!

We upgraded a number of things including the door handles and the kitchen worktops. We also added a shower in the bathroom and spotlights in the kitchen and chose the carpets and flooring throughout.

    “We wanted a new-build for our first house because we wanted to move in and not have to do any work, which is exactly what we’ve got!

    Help to Buy

    The Government backed Help to Buy scheme is available here. The scheme is open to both first time buyers and home movers alike, and means you'll need just 5% deposit to buy a new home.

    With Help to Buy, the Government will lend you up to 20% of the value of your new build home via an equity loan. You will need to secure up to a 75% mortgage and put down a 5% deposit. You’ll own 100% of your home from day one.
