S5/S6 pupils from St Maurice’s High School in Cumbernauld visited Smithstone for an insight into the design and technical aspects of the construction industry.  Their visit included an interactive presentation from Graeme Oswald from Taylor Wimpey and a walk around the construction site with site manager Iain Alexander to see how designs come to life.

We score with local football team sponsorship in Cumbernauld

We are delighted to announce our shirt sponsorship of Cumbernauld Colts Under 13’s football team.  This successful young team plays at the town’s Broadwood Stadium near our development of new homes at Smithstone in Cumbernauld.

Chairman for Cumbernauld Colts, Stewart McKenzie said:  “This is fantastic news for our club. We’re thrilled to have Taylor Wimpey on board as our U13’s team sponsor, and we are very grateful to have the support of such a prestigious company and brand. Our new strip looks great, and the team is really looking forward to a successful season.”

Commenting on the deal, Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland said:  “We’re delighted to be supporting Cumbernauld Colts, and we hope the new strip will bring the team lots of luck in future matches and of course see off their competition.

“This sponsorship allows us to further establish our links within the local community of Smithstone in Cumbernauld, and it underpins our commitment to create fantastic new family homes at our new development that’s situated off Strath Brennig Road.”

We are delighted to announce our shirt sponsorship of four Scottish Youth Football Association (SYFA) Central Region development football squads for the next two years.  This successful group of squads with players aged from 13 years to 16 years play at pitches and stadiums right across the central region near several of Taylor Wimpey’s developments of new homes.
